I was extremely sad to hear of the passing of author/screenwriter/director Nora Ephron. Like millions of other girls/women, Nora was an inspiration. She showed Hollywood that females could be as funny and as creative as their male counterparts. Many of her movies featured strong, independent women who survived and carried on despite heartbreak and other tragedy.
I wanted to be Nora Ephron when I was younger. It took me a few years, but at least now I can say that I'm truly honoring her memory by following her advice:
"Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim."
Thank you Nora for the tears, laughter and, above all else, the inspiration.
